Machining application
Acetal machining requests need both stock and drawing context
Use this guide to separate a saw-cut blank from a finished CNC part and to prepare the material, geometry, quantity, tolerance and inspection inputs required for review.
POM/acetal is offered commercially as machining stock, but machinability and finished-part performance depend on the exact grade, geometry and process. A drawing-led review is required for finished parts.
Blank or finished component?
Choose the blank path for rectangular stock preparation. Choose the drawing RFQ for pockets, holes, turned features, threads, contours, datum relationships, surface requirements or controlled inspection.
Inputs for a machining review
Include drawing revision, exact material wording, batch quantity, critical dimensions, tolerance and inspection points, finishing, documentation, destination and repeat expectation.
Material selection remains specific
POM-C, POM-H and Delrin references are not interchangeable supply claims. The final material and any application suitability decision stay with the reviewed specification.
Buyer questions
Can I get an instant CNC quote from this page?
No. The current instant estimate is limited to a narrow standard sheet request. Finished geometry and drawings require technical review.
Should I request stock allowance?
Specify the blank dimensions or allowance your machining plan requires. Do not rely on the supplier to infer it from finished-part dimensions.
