Material identity comparison
POM-C and POM-H are different material identities
POM-C denotes acetal copolymer and POM-H denotes acetal homopolymer. Selection requires grade-level data and application review; neither term may be inferred from a generic POM quote.
POM-C and POM-H describe different polymer structures within the POM/acetal family. Their properties vary by grade and manufacturer, so the correct choice should follow the controlling specification and current technical data rather than a universal winner claim.
What the suffixes mean
POM-C refers to acetal copolymer; POM-H refers to acetal homopolymer. Delrin is a specific homopolymer brand, not a synonym for every POM-H product.
Compare exact grades, not family averages
Mechanical, thermal, dimensional, tribological, chemical and regulatory data should come from the exact manufacturer grade and test basis. This page intentionally publishes no generic property table.
RFQ decision inputs
Send the drawing/specification, application environment, loads, dimensions, tolerance, documentation and whether alternatives are permitted. Generic POM cost evidence cannot be relabelled POM-C or POM-H.
Buyer questions
Is POM-C always better than POM-H?
No universal conclusion applies. The decision depends on the exact grade, application and controlling specification.
Can a generic POM supplier quote prove POM-C?
No. Polymer type and grade require explicit source evidence and approval.
