Application decision guide
Acetal bushing requests need operating conditions, not only dimensions
A bushing or bearing inquiry should identify geometry, load, motion, shaft/mating material, environment and life expectation. Material family wording alone is insufficient for a suitability decision.
Acetal is publicly used in bushing and bearing contexts, but a specific bearing surface requires engineering review of motion, load, clearance, wear, environment and grade.
Operating inputs
Capture radial/axial load, motion type and speed, shaft and housing materials, clearance, temperature, moisture/chemical exposure, lubrication, contamination and expected life.
Rod stock or finished bushing
Round stock may suit downstream turning, while a finished bushing requires bore/OD, length, chamfer, groove, tolerance, surface and inspection details.
Application review boundary
PlasNexa can capture and coordinate a request but does not approve fitness for use from a generic application label. The buyer's engineering criteria remain controlling.
Buyer questions
Should I source rod or a finished bushing?
Choose rod when your shop will machine the part. Choose a drawing-led RFQ when you need finished geometry and inspection.
Does a bushing application confirm the grade?
No. The grade and any performance or documentation requirement need explicit review.
