Cut-to-size rod

Acetal rod cut-to-length quotation requests

Use diameter × finished length × quantity for straight-cut rod. Requests that add machined features, critical dimensions or drawings move to technical review.

Direct answer

Rod cut-to-size usually means cutting round stock to a requested length. Diameter is selected from the source rod and is not created by the cut operation, so diameter availability and length cutting must both be confirmed.

Input
Diameter × finished length × quantity
Common diameters
Approximately Ø10–200 mm
Output
Straight cut lengths, not turned parts
Custom lengths
Subject to supplier review

Specify diameter and length separately

State the requested rod diameter, finished cut length and piece count. Common rod diameters are approximately Ø10–200 mm; other sizes may be available subject to supplier confirmation. If the diameter itself must be machined or ground, identify that as a finished-part requirement.

Keep units and quantities explicit

Do not mix millimeters, inches, pieces, feet or full rods without labels. PlasNexa preserves the customer wording for review instead of silently converting an unclear request.

When to attach a drawing

Use a drawing-led RFQ for faced ends, chamfers, grooves, threads, cross holes, turned diameters, concentricity or other controlled features.

Buyer questions

Is cut-to-length rod the same as a turned part?

No. A straight length cut prepares stock; turning or other geometry is a CNC/custom-part requirement.

Can I request POM-C or Delrin rod?

Yes, as a named technical requirement. It will route to supplier and grade confirmation rather than being treated as generic POM.
